Human connection is at the center of this business, and that’s what keeps me energized. Getting to know an advisor’s “why” and understanding the vision they have for their practice is a level of trust I take seriously and handle with care. What drives me is seeing the impact we can make by helping advisors bring that vision to life and deliver the kind of client service and experience they’re proud of.

Experience and education

As part of the advisor attraction team, Greg focuses on engaging and recruiting top-tier advisors and teams to Mariner’s independent platform. He works alongside advisors to help them explore the possibilities of independence, understand how Mariner’s resources can elevate their practice and navigate each step of the transition with confidence. His goal is to ensure teams can clearly see how joining Mariner supports their long-term vision for growth, flexibility and client service.

Prior to joining Mariner, Greg served as director of advisor recruiting at Compound Planning, where he led advisor recruiting and go-to-market initiatives, managing end-to-end advisor transitions and partnering with cross-functional leadership to enhance the advisor experience. He also held roles as sales director at M Science, delivering data-driven research solutions to global institutional investors, and as vice president of institutional equity sales at KeyBanc Capital Markets, advising hedge funds and long-only managers on market developments and investment insights.

Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston College.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Greg enjoys golfing, reading non-fiction and spending as much quality time as possible with his family–often outdoors with his wife, Jill, and daughters, Hailey and Summer.
